Livermore Elite Arsenal (Division-1 Gold U-19 Girls)

Santa Barbra Summer Cup Tournament

Game 1: Livermore Elite Arsenal (3) vs. Mission Viejo Xtreme (1)

Game 2: Livermore Elite Arsenal (0) vs. San Luis Obispo Storm (0)

Game 3: Livermore Elite Arsenal (3) vs. Folsom Blast (0)

Game 4: Norcal Almaden Fury (0) vs. Livermore Elite Arsenal (3)

Livermore Elite Arsenal had a breakout weekend at the Santa Barbara Summer Cup tournament.  The Arsenal took second place after out performing their first three opponents.  Arsenal players dominated their first game against the Mission Viejo Xtreme, 3 to 1.  Cristy Wallace scored two goals and Melissa Lamb scored the back breaker.  The second game of the tournament was strictly defensive.  The Arsenals? defense held the San Luis Obispo Storm to a 0-0 tie.  Nonetheless, Arsenal players demonstrated a superior level of play but just couldn't find the open net.

On the second day of the tournament, Cristy Wallace started things off with her first hat-trick of the year and lead the Arsenal to a 3-0 win over the Folsom Blast.  This positioned the Arsenal as the number one seed going into the last game.  All the Arsenal needed to do was beat or tie the last opponent.  Unfortunately, the proceeding three games & travel proved too much and the Arsenal was delivered its first defeat of the tournament by the Norcal Alamaden Fury.  Overall, the team came together during this tournament and look to be strong contenders in the local area.  The players went to Southern California a little apprehensive and came back stronger players.

Livermore Elite Force (Division-3 Bronze U-11 Girls)

Mustang Tournament

Game 1: Modesto Ajax United (5) vs. Livermore Elite Force (3)

The U-11 Livermore Elite Force participated in the Mustang Tournament the last weekend of August.  The Force met the Modesto Ajax United in their first game.  Adi Ruiz scored for the force in the opening minutes.  Modesto tied it up 1-1, then Jesse Jaureguito scored a seeing-eye goal to put the Force ahead.  Modesto answered back before the half.  Modesto scored first in the second period, but the Force tied again. &nbs p;Modesto put up two more goals for a final score of 5 to 3.

Game 2: Livermore Elite Force (8) vs. Lamorinda United (0)

The Force fared much better in their second game, beating the Lamorinda United team by a score of 8 to 0.  Amelia Mowry and Bridget Rittmann both had strong offensive efforts.

Game 3: Mustang (6) vs. Livermore Elite Force (1)

The Force had to win on Sunday to advance in the tournament.  Unfortunately a strong Mustang team had other ideas.  Although Adi Ruiz scored the first goal for the Force, the Mustang girls proved too strong on this day, winning by a score of 6 to 1.
