Goals & Assists:

Game Summary & Highlights: This was the game to decide who came in first and second for the LYSL Boys U12 House Tournament.  Both teams came into the game winning all three games in the tournament.  The Warriors also came into the game with an undefeated season.  The Mighty Sharks was the only team they had not beaten, and that game had ended in a tie. The game was played under the lights in the rain and had to be the most exciting game of the whole season.  There were no stars in this game, as all the boys played at their very best.  The game ended in a 2 - 2 tie, showing again these teams were very evenly matched and the goal keepers for each team were excellent   The teams proceeded in playing two 5 minute overtimes, still tied.  Then they went into a 5 man shoot out, each scoring 3 out of 5 and still being tied.  Finally in a sudden death shoot out the Might Sharks came out ahead.  In all both teams were winners and the final game came down to one shot that could have went either way.  Both teams played incredibly well and should be proud of playing with heart and sportsmanship.

The Strikers goal keeper, Osiris Chavez, played a very defensive game; he was able to stop everything that came his way the rest of the game.  Miguel Suarez scored the first goal in the second half and the second goal for the Strikers of the game.  Miguel's goal was un-assisted and was a real crowd-pleaser.  The third goal of the game came from Jose Vides, with an assist from Carsen Paynter, (nice team work).  The fourth and final goal came from Jake Martinez, with a penalty kick place perfectly into the net. A big shout-out to all the Strikers players, for a Great Season, and Great Team work.  A very special thank you to our 2007 coaches, Chris Paynter, Jose Vides Sr, and to our terrific trainer, Dave Shaw.
