2008 Pre-Tryout Soccer Academy (added 01/15/07) - The 1st Annual Livermore Youth Soccer Pre-Tryout Academy! Program Directed by Troy Dayak.  This academy will help prepare the players for upcoming high comp tryouts.  Whether your son or daughter is a beginner, intermediate or an advanced player, the Academy can help your child develop the skills needed to compete at the highest level.

The academy will be separated into age groups.  As the weeks progress the staff will begin to access their development and help direct them on the improvements needed in order to have a successful tryout.  This academy will be for players who are serious about learning and developing.  This is not a soccer camp.

Program Mission

LYSL shall provide a High Competition soccer program that will ensure that each league member is provided the opportunity to progressively develop their skill and talent to the highest possible level.  In order to achieve this goal LYSL shall provide a competitive soccer program that provides each participant the opportunity to progressively develop his or her skill and talent to the highest possible level.  In order to achieve this goal LYSL shall:

  • Provide an informed, responsive, and efficient management structure to oversee the High Comp Program

  • Make available quality coaching for all teams and in all age groups that have enough players to form a viable team

  • Provide a professional Technical Director (TD), team trainers, and a program that will manage player and coach development

  • Provide, to the extent possible, facilities and equipment necessary for effective player / team development

The High Comp Program offers our youth an opportunity to play at a higher level of skill with a longer playing season than that available in our house program.  We field boys and girls teams, in both Division 1 and Division 3 environments, covering most if not all age groups.  Playing soccer at higher competition levels does require an investment and commitment of time and travel. The High Comp Program of LYSL will provide the best possible training environment and facilitate player development while challenging their "will" for excellence.  Many local players grow in this great sport to become terrific players and continue on to play at higher levels including the Olympic Development Program (ODP), high school, college, and even at the professional ranks.
