| Fusion SC 97B Maroon (U13) Takes Fourth Place at Soccer by The Bay Tournament - Wednesday, September 01, 2010
The Fusion SC 97B (U13) led by coach Rick Lovoi and his staff, took fourth place at the “Soccer by The Bay” tournament held recently in San Mateo. The team held opponents to just five goals for the entire tournament while taking more shots than the competition in each of their games. The Fusion team started the tournament at a disadvantage due to the unfortunate loss of their outstanding goal keeper Alex Tellez with a broken shoulder. Hayden Olsen took over most of the goalkeeper duties and had outstanding performances to keep the games close. The team dedicated the game they won to Alex and gave him a tournament jersey which all the players signed.

| Fusion SC U13B Maroon Take Second Place at Magic Cup Tournament - Thursday, August 19, 2010
The Fusion SC 97B U13 team didn’t need to pull any tricks at the Magic Cup tournament in Morgan Hill to take second place in the Silver Division. They did it with tough defense, a lot of hustle, and great teamwork. The Fusion beat the Blazers from Walnut Creek 2-1, tied Manteca 2-2, and beat a tough team from Patterson by a score of 5-2 to get to the finals. They came up just short in the playoff with the same Manteca team losing by a score of 0-2. Emil Brown led the offensive attack with 6 goals for the weekend including a 3 goal hat trick. Scott Newby had 2 goals including a beautiful header into the net. Garrett Vest rounded out the goals with a nicely placed shot passed the keeper. None of the goals would be possible without the great assists from Alec Foster, Mathew Garcia, Trevor Ross, Brandon Brocklesby, and Migual Suarez. The two key factors to the Fusion’s success this weekend was (1) the outstanding defense by Kevin Gilmore, Harrison Gould (the giant killer), and Jack Schoendienst and (2) the amazing hustle by Connor Lovoi, Hayden Olsen, and Jaime Osorio. Alex Tellez made some amazing saves and was fantastic in the net. Great way to start the 2010 season boys!

| Great showing for local Livermore teams. - Saturday, June 05, 2010

Congratulations to the Livermore Fusion Crew 95 Girls (U14) team for finishing in second place in the Tracy Orange Bowl on Memorial Day weekend. The girls advanced to the finals through a series of wins in their bracket. In first round play the girls tied MVLA Thunder 1 - 1. Momentum built in the second and third games as Fusion soundly defeated Inter Rage Academy Impact 4 - 1 and Alliance FC Diamonds 3 - 0. In the finals, although the girls were plagued with a shortage of players in the field, they played attractive attacking soccer with moments of great ball movement and wonderful opportunities in the opponent's 18. The team lost in a very physical championship game to Santa Clara Sporting SC.
Additionally, congratulations go out to Livermore Fusion 95 Fury who finished 4th in the same tournament with an outstanding performance and Livermore Fusion 97s who made it to the semi-finals with some spirited play that turned the heads of local competition.
