2010 Election - Job Descriptions
 
The following are descriptions of the duties of the elected offices that are being decided in the 2010 Election.  These descriptions are taken from the league by-laws and from the current office holder.

President
Shall provide leadership and inspiration for the league and its program.
Shall be the only spokesperson for the league in interactions with outside agencies.
Shall attend all meetings and submit a written monthly report of activities.

Provide oversight and leadership for all league activities and league business.
Provide guidance and support for the Board Members as necessary.
Assist with formation of the annual budget.
Assist with registration.
Assist with annual facilities use projections and use requests.
Attend the monthly CYSA District III Committee Meeting in Pleasanton.
Respond to member questions and concerns and/or connect the member with the club administrator who can assist them.

Director of Finance
Shall prepare an annual budget, conduct budget reviews, and issue special reports as required.
Shall ensure all LYSL financial responsibilities are met in a timely manner.
Shall oversee the monetary assets of the league in a conservative and professional manner with the guidance of the Executive Board.
Shall review all financial policies and proposals to ensure legal compliance and fiscally responsible league operation.

Director of House
Shall oversee operations affiliated with the House Program.
Shall oversee the Age Group Coordinators.
Shall ensure that House program operates, in accordance with league Standard Operating Procedures and LYSL Bylaws.
Shall provide timely, professional and productive responses to all House issues, grievances and reports, records of which are to be maintained in a confidential, detailed, and accurate format.

Premier Secretary
Shall ensure that an accurate record of HCC (Premier) operations is kept.
Shall handle all HCC correspondence.
Shall conduct, tally, and record all votes cast during any HC Forum or HC Committee vote

Premier Treasurer
Shall prepare an annual budget, conduct budget reviews, and issue special reports as required.
Shall ensure all HC financial responsibilities are met in a timely manner.
Shall review requested individual team sponsorships and fundraising activities and Elite Soccer (Premier) policies, and coordinate such activities.
Shall coordinate activities where applicable with the Director of Finance.

Premier Girls Representative - Division 1
Shall be the representative of the assigned HC division to the Full Board.
Shall coordinate all high comp activities within the HC division.
Shall oversee the formation of High Comp teams and coach selection within their HC division, in accordance with League Standard Operating Procedures.
Shall acts as a first-line mediator and source of information as questions arise within assigned HC division and escalate issues to the Disciplinary Chairperson, if necessary.
Shall coordinate communications and administrative necessities of assigned HC program Shall coordinate activities where applicable with the Age Group Coordinators.
