| General Announcement - Wednesday, July 28, 2010Status Update On Club Technical Director
Dear Members,
On Friday July 23, LYSL Board Members Brent Koch and Dan Dremalas met with Troy Dayak, Robert Fairclough and Sheila Rhoads to review a new contract offer to Troy to serve as the Club's Premier Program Technical Director from July 26 through November 30, 2010. Troy has received the offer and is taking it under consideration. It is possible that we will not know his decision for several weeks until he returns from a European coaching tour.
The offer for Technical Director Services through the end of the fall season allows a more seasonally appropriate realignment of the contracting period for this work. Under the new proposal, we continue to have Troy in place as Technical Director to provide on-field observation, analysis, instruction and feedback for the premier players and coaching staff through the end of the fall 2010 playing season. Meanwhile, the Board will be studying how the needs of the Club could be best served by an Executive Director, a Director of Coaching and a Technical Director or some combination of these positions. After this review is completed, with staff and member input, we will publish the position openings and announce our acceptance of applications. We welcome Troy's future considerations for bringing his expertise and accomplishments to serve our children under the new structure of these positions.
The decision to offer Mr. Dayak a more short term contract has been difficult and not without controversy. With a wide diverse membership, the support for that decision reaches each end of the spectrum. Our goal is to recognize the differences of opinion and find some common ground to put a solution in place that serves current needs while the options for improvement are studied and vetted. We look forward to sharing more information and soliciting your input as this process moves forward.
Sincerely,
Livermore Fusion SC
Brent Koch
President

| General Announcement - Wednesday, July 21, 2010Message To Membership
Dear Members,
Recently, the Executive Board voted to terminate the current Director of Coaching contract with Troy Dayak because the Club was not receiving the performance outlined in his contract. Since then, the Executive Board and Premier Program Committee have met with the premier program coaches, trainers and managers to:
- Communicate the termination of the the DoC contract
- Reiterate that the direction of the club is not changing
- Inform them that the scope of the Director of Coaching roles and responsibilities was under review
At the meeting, the premier coaches, trainers and managers asked the Board to try and identify alternate solutions to this separation. The Board has requested and received a recommendation from a subcommittee of coaches/trainers. We are now in the process of drafting a revised contract with a different scope of services for Troy's consideration.
This message is intended to provide the same information to all membership. Rumors and messages that only contain partial facts are already being circulated. Until this matter is resolved, we are reluctant to reply to individual messages that will further "rumors" vs. factual information sharing.
We do not want to violate Troy's privacy in this matter. Once this issue has been resolved, we will provide a more detailed account to membership. In the meantime, we ask you to trust your elected officials to perform their due diligence and represent the best interests of the club based on the factual and complete knowledge of the situation that we have.
Respectfully yours,
The LYSL Executive Board

This year, LYSL is pleased to announce a new program aimed at addressing this short-fall in referee coverage for these age groups.
